The Smallest Volunteers Make Some Big IMPACT

Updated: May 20, 2019

We were so happy to host another Family Volunteer Day with our friends from IMPACT Diablo Valley and Mindful Littles. It was beautiful to see how much these little ones can accomplish! ❤️

IMPACT Diablo Valley families created 48 Care Kits for CCIS: Homeless Shelter Concord CA. This is an emergency shelter for single men, single women and single pregnant women, over 18 years old. The emergency shelter program for adults operates at two sites in the unincorporated areas of Concord and Richmond.

IMPACT families also created at least 100 lovely handmade cards which will be put into emergency summer backpacks for the Mt. Diablo Unified School District. These backpacks were given out to the homeless students in this district through the district’s Homeless Outreach Program for Education (HOPE).

Finally, the families set us up for the morning Food Rescue at White Pony Express with some necessary hard work, and a tour of WPE.

And a loving THANK YOU to Tanuka Gordon at Mindful Littles for co-hosting the event. Our favorite "partner in kids."

We are thankful to be a part of such a solid community effort.
