Meet General Store Ops Manager Steve Harrell
After five years working as the manager of White Pony Express’ Mobile Boutiques in a volunteer capacity, Steve Harrell accepted the full-time staff position of White Pony General Store Operations Manager, filling the big shoes of Dana Deveau, and working in concert with her to take over operations of the smooth-running distribution center.
In addition to day-to-day operations, overseeing the White Pony General Store volunteers, maintaining relationships with community partners, managing mobile boutique preparations, and distribution space management, one of Steve’s primary goals will be to implement an inventory system to manage and track goods in all departments of the General Store as we grow our capacity to serve more people.
Steve has prior experience as a seminar facilitator in group dynamics, diversity, goal setting and anger management. At the University of California, Berkeley, Steve worked in the Development and Alumni Relations donor and gift services unit. He assisted development staff with creating gift agreements from donors who made gifts establishing current use funds and endowments supporting scholarships, program operations and professors.
