Have you seen WPE’s new pop-up boutique van? If you haven’t, you’re missing out! Our new wheels arrived in 2023 thanks to a generous donation from the Wayfarer Foundation. The colorful, dynamic wrap was envisioned by the Illuminaries Mural and Design crew in Oakland and embodies the WPE spirit of service, unity, and love.
The van, a former man cave, has been outfitted with all the necessities for a pop-up boutique. There is a lift in the back for heavier loads and plenty of room for toys, clothing, backpacks, and emergency supplies. The van made many gift-giving trips over the holidays and will be on display at Stege Elementary School in Richmond this week for a WPE and Subaru-sponsored coat giveaway. If you see us pulling up with warm clothing and gifts at a non-profit near you, come say hi!
The Wayfarer Foundation was launched in 2021 as a Baha’i-inspired organization with the mission to “advance humankind spiritually towards a future peaceful world civilization.” They fund and support spiritually rooted and justice-oriented nonprofits and center their work on the power of universal participation to create a more hopeful, joyful, and just world.
